Clean, crisp chick. Great cutting sound. Full-bodied cymbals with a beautiful blend of warmth, sensitivity, and clarity.

Clear stick definition. Sumela series have an unconventional finish and a unique sound. There is a central band about 1.5" wide and 2" from the outer edge of the cymbal that is polished, though not brilliant. A similar, smaller band surrounds the bell. The rest of the top is lathed, but also acid-washed, which gives it a slightly rough, dry texture. The entire bottom of the cymbal is acid-washed, as well. This technique flattens the over-tones a bit. It also increases the propensity of the cymbal to tarnish, which gives our Sumelas a beautiful "vintage" yellow-greenish patina.
